Keep Pressing Forward

The older I get, & the more I experience life, I'm starting to see that life, in all its moments of happiness & moments of darkness, simply just doesn't get easier.

If only I quit this job, I'll have more time to do this.
If only I get into a relationship, I'll be more comfortable.
If only I can be a better dancer, a better teammate, a better family member, a better friend, I'll be happier.

Broken pieces lay all around me.
I have past mistakes & past struggles that I need to yet let go of.
But not many people are willing to do that. You know, pick up the broken pieces.
We just wanna ignore them. We just wanna live life the way that's most comfortable. We just wanna pretend like those broken pieces aren't there.

But just because we try to forget doesn't mean they're not there anymore.

Don't worry- each broken piece has a new home in the life we're trying to rebuild. We don't have to destroy them, we just have to replace them, so that we can use them in the right ways.
But, make sure it is in the right ways.

Life will always be full of ups & downs. I've learned to embrace the fact that this is just the way it's gonna be. That's the journey. Ups, downs, loops, & unexpected turns. But no reverse- so keep pressing forward. Even if you have to stop every now & then- keep pressing forward. You are doing a great job. Because you have purpose, & it is the greatest purpose you will ever find.

My eternal prize, would you be the center of all that I desire & all that I do.
