Dancing with the Devil

You.

Your eyes were devilish, evil in so many ways. But they lured me in.
Gentle. Captivating.

Your words, coated with more sugar than the chocolate cake I just bought my dad for Father's day. I knew they were artificial. But who uses natural sugar nowadays, anyway?

Your lips. That sly smile you gave every time you knew you were in control.
Perfect teeth, and all.

You and your witty jokes and carefree spirit. Roaming the earth, wanting to change the world. You. I was dancing with the devil. A beautiful waltz as I pave my own road to death. Darkness dripped from your every pore, your intentions reflected clear as glass. I could see right through you, but that didn't scare you. Confident as if you were invincible. Poised. Positive as if you knew falling for you is inevitable.

You.
It was only a matter of time.
